Every venue wishing to train and assess the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) needs to become an Approved Training Centre. This is a process whereby the centre gains external verification to ensure the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is being trained and assessed in a venue that is well organised and resourced.

Over 800 organisations, covering more than 1900 pools, have now been awarded Approved Training Centre status.
