Donation
by Tax Return
If you fill in a self assessment tax return you can nominate the charity to receive any tax refund you are due. UK tax payers are able to apply for tax returns for the year to 5 April 2004. The refund is treated as a gift aid donation by the Government meaning the charity will get 28p for every pound donated. You will not get charged – NO EXTRA COST. For example – if you are owed £10.00 back in tax. The taxman will add £2.80 giving the total donation to the charity of £12.80. What you need to doTo ensure Lifesavers receive your tax refund, please quote the Charity’s unique number on the return form. Our unique number is XXXX. |
